I never set out to create a “5-in-1” product.
That name came later — almost as a joke.
What I was really trying to make was something simpler. Something that worked.
After a year of making soap, I began washing my hair with my own Castile olive oil soap. It was plain, unscented, and gentle — and surprisingly effective. Clean hair. No residue. No fuss.
Later, I experimented with fresh avocado and added cocoa butter. The difference was noticeable: softer hair, less dryness, a richer lather.
Then came the herbs.
Calendula. Rosemary. Nettle. Comfrey.
That’s how the Herbal Shampoo Bar was born.
Not from marketing. From curiosity and lived experience.
So, What Are the 5 Uses?
Over time, customers began using it in more ways than I expected:
• Shampoo – cleanses scalp and hair without harsh detergents
• Conditioning – plant butters help soften and smooth
• Face cleanser – gentle enough for sensitive skin
• Body soap – creamy, balanced lather
• Travel bar – one bar, no plastic bottles
It’s simple. But not simplistic.
The same oils that nourish your face can nourish your scalp.
Good ingredients don’t need to live in separate categories.
What’s Inside (And Why It Matters)
Every ingredient has a purpose.
Australian extra virgin olive oil forms the base — rich in antioxidants and deeply moisturising without heaviness.
Coconut oil adds cleansing power and stable lather.
Argan and jojoba oils support softness and balance.
Shea and cocoa butter bring creaminess and conditioning.
Castor oil boosts lather and scalp comfort.
Herbs are infused directly into the oils before soapmaking — not added as decoration, but as part of the formulation.
Calendula soothes.
Rosemary supports circulation.
Nettle strengthens.
Peppermint refreshes.
No fillers. No synthetic fragrance. No unnecessary extras.
From Convenience to Care
I’ve realised over time that “5-in-1” doesn’t quite capture what this bar is.
It sounds like a supermarket gimmick.
This isn’t that.
It’s a bar made slowly, by hand.
Built for simplicity — not speed.
It works not because it tries to do everything, but because the ingredients naturally support skin and hair together.
The Travel Realisation
Where it truly shines is when you travel.
No bottles. No spills. No airport liquid limits.
One bar that handles morning showers and evening face washes.
Many customers tell me they were skeptical at first — then surprised.
That makes me smile.
Because simplicity isn’t about sacrificing.
It’s about removing what isn’t needed.
From My Hands to Yours
This bar began as an experiment in my own shower.
